4. This tower is the subject of much controversy in Manchester  I'd hate to live so high up...

5. These engraved plates in the park show the history of Hulme:

(i'll be posting some more of these.)

6. An autumn tree:

7. My little hillock in the park, from which I blow bubbles when the mood takes me:

8. I couldn't quite get the 'Life' on the side of the building to show, but I liked the quality of the light:

9. St Mary's at sunset:

10. One of these days I will go up in this wheel - maybe!
It's only back for a few weeks though, so I need to summon up courage soon:

11. This water feature is meant to be a cotton bud, symbolic of Manchester's historic links with the cotton industry.

cool! historic manchester-- i like the cotton bud, i do. and your hillock! how terrific of you to share your private place. i'll be able to picture you there occasionally. :) that tower, though, it does sort of stick out like a sore thumb. are there no highrise buildings in manchester? i lived in a highrise for two years and quite loved it. but i prefer the lower floors for safety's sake, heh.

get on that ferris wheel and take your camera. i look forward to what you see from on high. i freakin' LOVE ferris wheels and, if my life were currently what it will be later on, i would hop on a plane right now and we'd go together.

don' let those clouds scare you off (though conviniently dramatic). get your butt up on that wheel, i'll join you! :)
i do like your bubble blowing lair.
the building looks rather alien.
