Lavender blue, dilly dilly

I was at the museum today and saw some lavender natural herbal candies. The idea intrigued me so I decided to buy some, and now I can't decide whether I like them or whether they are icky. I do keep eating them if that's any indication.
They reminded me of how, when I was little, I used to pull the flowers from the lavender in the garden - carefully, slowly - to taste the tiny drop of nectar hidden at the base of each flower. Such simple pleasures :D

Oh no...a sneak attack earworming. That song will be with me for days. If I'm lucky! I owe you one, kairon!

Thanks, kairon13! You just evoked for me wonderful memories of the gorgeous, sunny seaside town of Rovinj on the Dalmatian coast of Croatia. For some reason, it specialises in lavender. In the market near the harbour, you can buy it in a dozen different forms, but mainly little bottles of very good but amazingly cheap lavender oil.

Must go back there some day. Take a look -

LMAO! I *know* I have done this!

I used to pull the flowers from the blueberry bush in my yard and lick the nectar. No wonder my mom never got any blueberries!

i thought you bought candles too. there are those tiny wax bottled candies that you chew open and there's liquid inside but i never liked those.
