Your vote counts.

For those who haven't voted yet:

fsr44's entry in the First Chapters contest will be done with its two-week stint on Wednesday. If you haven't been there and voted yet , it would be really good if you did.  Pretty please?  I've read it and like it, and I think fsr44 deserves to go forward to the next stage.

A number of people are not satisfied with voting honestly for their friends and others, but are "torpedoeing" the competitors entries. It's quite obvious when this happens and, in fact, the Gather.com site has taken some measures to counteract it, but it has clearly had some effect on the placings of those whose friends are more ethical.  All fsr44 asks is that you read her entry (and others if you want) and vote and comment honestly and fairly.

Registering at Gather is free. You can do it here --
http://www.gather.com/register.jsp?beamBack=viewMessage.jsp%3FmessageId%3D9851624185668385

fsr44's entry can be seen here -- http://www.gather.com/viewArticle.jsp?articleId=281474976888787

Added incentive: The site is not only awarding the winner with a publishing contract, they are also awarding the best commenter on EACH advancing entry (20) with a $500 gift certificate for Borders.
